An inspirational woman, Christa Lehnert-Schroth PT, has devoted her life to the Schroth Method for scoliosis, a technique originally created by her mother, Katharina Schroth. Frau Christa, as we call her, has dedicated her life to refining the methods created exclusively to help scoliosis sufferers improve their posture and quality of life. She continues to her work to spread information about the Schroth method throughout the world. She retired in 1995 as director of the Katharina Schroth Clinic, in Bad Sobernheim, Germany. Her career as a physical therapist spanned fifty years and there is no better advocate for the Schroth Method living today. She is truly committed to helping those with scoliosis and advancing the valuable Schroth techniques.
The clinic she established is now the Asklepios Katharina Schroth Clinic in Bad Sobernheim, Germany where patients from around the world check in from four to six weeks to learn the exercise and breathing techniques used to help those with scoliosis.
In recent years, Frau Christa’s focus has been to spread the word about benefits of the Schroth Method for patients globally and she has authored a book for physiotherapists entitled, Three Dimensional Treatment for Scoliosis: A Physiotherapeutic Method for Deformities of the Spine.
