May was a hectic month with many patients in from Florida, Toronto, Montreal, New York, Connecticut and other places from near and far to learn Schroth. I was initially scheduled to be back in Germany this week, but decided against going after the last trip and the uncertainty created by the volcano with my first patient arriving from Texas the day after my scheduled return.

I really love what I do and good news is coming in from Schroth patients seen over the course of the last couple of years. Many have contacted me anxious to come back for follow-up visits and report feeling great relief from pain and overall improved well-being after incorporating Schroth exercises regularly.

Friday night, I was truly overjoyed to receive an email from the mom of a local girl I began seeing this past winter. She had just had an xray at Children’s Hospital, Boston and her mom reported an out of brace decrease in her curve from 50º to 35º. This type of report gets me very excited and motivated and shows that hard work and  brace compliance  along with Schroth exercise can reap great rewards for the scoliosis patient. Personally, it reinforces my commitment to Schroth and makes my daily work with scoliosis patients even more meaningful.
