This girl from Canada came to us with a moderate 27º Cobb angle, Risser 4. She was braced in our Scoliosis 3DC® Chêneau style brace (full time wear recommended) and participated in our intensive Schroth method program. She attained an in-brace correction to 5º. With compliance, she has an excellent chance of maintaining or improving her scoliosis, even at this late stage of growth. Our goal is to have her avoid progression and keep her spinal curves under a 30º Cobb angle–the level at which research states patients have the best hope of avoiding scoliosis progression as an adult.
