This young patient’s spine responded almost immediately to her Schroth exercise program and the scoliosis brace we fit her in. Within six months her thoracolumbar Cobb angle had reduced to 13º and her thoracic spine was straight. Because of her encouraging results, Dr. Marc and team were able to reduce the number of hours per day she needed to wear her brace. Her scoliosis continued to improve. Once her Cobb angles measured 4º and 5º (no longer scoliosis) Dr. Marc told her she could stop wearing her brace! EK2, was still a Risser 0 at that point and still had significant potential for growth. This lovely girl checked in every few months. Now, fully grown, having scoliosis is probably just a distant memory. A case of scoliosis improved permanently, without surgery!
