• 11-year-old female
  • Initial Cobb angles 16º/26°
  • Risser 0

This young patient’s spine responded almost immediately to her Schroth exercise program and Chêneau-Gensingen brace. Within six months her thoracolumbar Cobb angle had reduced to 13º and her thoracic spine was straight! Once both curves dropped under 10º, Dr. Marc reduced her brace wear schedule. Today, EK2 no longer wears a brace but is monitored very closely since she still has much potential for growth. Her ATR (angular trunk rotation– measured by scoliometer) reduced from an initial measurement of 9º to 1º. Not a perfect spine, but almost!
